ST. LOUIS, MO - Interactive agency, Roundedcube, Inc., will provide Independence Center, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, with web strategy, design and development services. The agreement is the result of a campaign run by Roundedcube this past December allowing the St. Louis community to nominate local charities to receive a "gift" of web consulting services to the value of $20,000.
On January 5th, Roundedcube announced via its fan page that the company's staff had selected Independence Center. Since then, the two organizations have officially agreed to get the project underway.
"All of the nominations we received were fantastic. We were able to narrow the list down to a manageable number based on which organizations we thought we could make the biggest impact for in the long run," said Aaron Branson, Vice President, Operations & Marketing, Roundedcube. "We then put it up to a vote by our entire staff to let them have the final say in how we, as a team, volunteer our efforts."
Independence Center is a community-based rehabilitation program for adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses in the St. Louis area, built on the Clubhouse model of psychosocial rehabilitation.
"What we saw with Independence Center was, first of all, a need in terms of online marketing and communication, but more importantly an organization that has the potential to achieve more with the right web strategy in place - and we noticed immediate synergies between our teams regarding the vision for their site." - Marco Tana, President and CEO, Roundedcube
Independence Center's Executive Director, J. Michael Keller said "We are very grateful to have been the non-profit organization selected to receive this valuable in-kind contribution from Roundedcube. Today, it's as important to have a sophisticated, professional presence on the internet, as to have attractive publications, or well designed facilities."
"It's an increasingly important part of a corporate image, and as more and more donors give on line, it must make your case for support in a compelling way. What a gift to have these professionals develop a state-of-the-art web site for Independence Center! We're truly thankful to Roundedcube for a very generous contribution."
Marco Tana, President and CEO, Roundedcube added "What we saw with Independence Center was, first of all, a need in terms of online marketing and communication, but more importantly an organization that has the potential to achieve more with the right web strategy in place - and we noticed immediate synergies between our teams regarding the vision for their site."
