St. Louis, MO – Marco Tana, President and CEO of Roundedcube, Inc., (www.roundedcube.com) has been recognized as a Sitecore Most Valuable Professional (MVP). Tana is one of 20 MVP Award recipients for 2010 and was honored with the distinction for sharing his Sitecore web content management system expertise with the technical community.
“Sitecore MVPs are technology experts who inspire others to learn and grow through active participation in the Sitecore technical community,” said Lars Fløe Nielsen, senior vice president, technical marketing, Sitecore. “The prestigious list of MVPs share the same passion for technology and a demonstrated willingness to help others innovate and advance the use of Web strategies.”
Tana has been a Certified Sitecore Solution Developer since 2005 and with nearly 70 Sitecore projects under Roundedcube’s belt; he has contributed to various techniques and best-practices that Roundedcube currently uses for its clients.
“I am passionate about sharing what I learn with others in the technical community, and discovering what others have experienced as well,” said Tana. “To be recognized for my contributions to the Sitecore community is an honor.”
In order to receive the award, Sitecore MVP nominees undergo an evaluation process based on each nominee’s technical expertise and voluntary community involvement over the past year. All the nominations were reviewed by an independent panel of Sitecore employees from technical, product marketing and executive roles. The panel considers the quality, quantity, and level of impact of the nominees’ contributions, in the areas of general technical advocacy, input via blogs and forums and content development.
Worldwide, Sitecore has more than 3,900 certified developers, and more than 10,000 active community participants. The Sitecore MVP Program was established in 2009 and the term for Sitecore MVPs is two years, after which time, individuals can be nominated again. As MVP, Tana will have access to technical resources, first release modules and invitations to major events.
